Renewals, receipts, and refunds
How billing works after you've paid: what happens at renewal, how to cancel, what to expect from a bank payment, and how refunds work.
Paid plans are starting soon. Plans, trials and the Plan & billing page described here are not switched on yet, so for now nothing is limited and you won't be charged. We'll email you before that changes.
Renewals
The Yearly plan renews once a year. We email you 30 days before the renewal date with the date and the price, so it never comes as a surprise. You don't need to do anything to keep the plan.
Cancelling
You can cancel any time. The plan keeps working until the end of the year you paid for, then your account moves back to Free. Shows that are already running keep running, and nobody already on a show is removed.
To cancel, change your card, or see invoices, open Settings › Plan & billing and choose Manage payment. That opens a secure page run by Stripe. Manage payment appears after your first payment.
Receipts
Stripe emails you a receipt for each payment, with the tax shown. Our own emails tell you what was added to your account.
Paying by bank account
A US bank payment takes a few business days to clear. Nothing is added to your account until it does, and we email you when it clears. If it doesn't go through, we email you that too, and nothing is added. If you see a charge from us on your statement for a payment that failed, reply to that email and we'll sort it out.
Refunds
You can ask for a refund within 14 days if your show hasn't happened yet. Write to support@showmystage.com.
When a refund is issued we email you what was refunded and what came off your account:
- Big Show upgrade. The upgrade comes off, and the show goes back to the size of your plan. Nobody already on the show is removed.
- Text pack. The texts you haven't used are taken back. Texts you already sent stay spent.
- Yearly plan. The plan ends, and that year's included Big Show upgrade and texts are taken back.
Refunds usually reach your statement within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
If a payment fails at renewal
Your plan keeps working for a few days while the payment is retried. If it still can't be taken, the plan ends at the end of the period you'd already paid for.
