Sangita Raghunathan

Sangita Raghunathan is an acclaimed performer and teacher in the field of Bharathanatyam. She is a disciple of renowned gurus (Late) Smt K.J.Sarasa (Chennai) and Smt Padmini Ravi (Bangalore). She has over 200 performances to her credit in various cities spanning India, Germany, Canada, and the USA. She has won many awards, accolades, and appreciation for her dancing skills. She is a graded artist from Doordarshan, Chennai and was a recipient of the coveted national scholarship awarded by the Central Govt of India. Sangita has taught students for over 30 years and has had the pleasure of initiating many into learning Bharathanatyam, guiding some of them through their Arangetram. She initiates her students to use their creative ideas in dance choreography, which helps feed their interest in the art. Her main focus is to lay a strong foundation in dance for her students without compromising on the quality of execution.
