Krishnaveni Putrevu

Guru Krishnaveni Putrevu, the esteemed director of Utkalaa Dance Academy, is dedicated to the promotion of the Odissi dance form in its most authentic and unadulterated essence. Under her leadership, Utkalaa Academy endeavors to showcase the rich traditions of Odissi, tracing back to Ancient and Vedic periods, to diverse audiences globally. Trained in the distinguished style of Padmashree Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra by Guru Sri Naba Kishore Mishra, she brings a deep-rooted understanding of this classical dance form. Although originally from Andhra Pradesh, her upbringing in Orissa deeply immersed her in the Odissi culture. Guru Putrevu is a distinguished alumnus of the Lalit Kala Academy, Allahabad, India, and Chandigarh University, where she earned her degrees in Odissi dance.
