Artist profiles
An artist profile is how performers show up on Show My Stage — so organizers can find you, review your work, and invite you to events. It is separate from simply having an account (for example after an RSVP).

What an artist profile is for
Use an artist profile if you perform — solo, duo, or group. Typical uses:
- Appear in artist search and discovery
- Share bio, media, pricing packages, and availability
- Receive lineup invitations and open-call applications
- Build reviews and a public presence organizers can trust
You do not need an artist profile only to RSVP or attend events.
How to create one
- Sign in (phone or email)
- Open Get Started (or go to create profile / onboarding)
- Choose Perform
- Complete the basics: display name, location, metro area
- If you registered by phone and haven’t given a date of birth yet, you’ll be asked for DOB (18+) before the profile can be created
- Agree to the Terms and save

On mobile, Perform uses a short native setup. On the web, you land on the full profile create form. Either way the profile starts as a draft — not shown publicly until you choose to appear in discovery.
Individual vs business (group)
Artist profiles can be:
| Type | Best for |
|---|---|
| Individual | Solo performers; first and last name are the public identity |
| Business / group | Ensembles, companies, or branded acts; company name is primary; optional team roster |
You pick the type when you create the profile. Existing invites that lock profile type are uncommon; most creators choose freely at create time.
What you can add after create
- Bio and services description
- Avatar / photos and performance video links
- Pricing packages
- Availability windows
- Search keywords and metro area
- Whether you show as an individual in public discovery (off by default until you’re ready)

Publishing / discoverability is under your control. Saving a draft does not put you in the public artist gallery.
How organizers find you
Organizers use search, event assembly (“Curate My Stage”), and open calls. A complete profile (media, location, clear services, pricing) ranks better in practice than an empty shell. Profiles that appear in the public artist gallery can also show up in Google and other search engines (name, bio, and location — not your phone number). Venue and vendor listings are supporting actors for events; artists are the primary discovery focus.
Frequently asked questions
Does creating an artist profile delete my RSVPs?
No. RSVPs stay on your account.
Am I a founding artist if I upgrade from phone RSVP?
No. Founding status is set at registration under a product cap — not when you add a profile later.
Can I also list a venue or vendor services?
Yes — see venue and vendor. Those are separate listings, not a replacement for your artist profile.
Will my profile show up on Google?
If you appear in the public artist gallery, search engines may list your public profile page. Saving a draft does not put you in the gallery. Dashboard, settings, and inbox pages are not indexed.
